Martha: You don't imagined how UNUSUAL all this is...
Except for Rose. And its not that she's not well drawn, but I hate the character xP (I shouldn't have skipped the 9th Doctor. Apparently everyone else loves the hell out of Rose... *shrug*)
Since commenting, I've gone back and watched the 9th Doctor, and then Rose's part of 10th (which I hadn't even realized existed before...), and
-I still don't like her. Overall she is just a spoiled brat. She listened about as well as a sugared up two year old at Chuck E. Cheese, acted like a hussy around anything with a penis and jerked Mickey's feelings around like a dog with a chew toy. All because she had an innate inability to put aside "me want" for a greater cause, or anyone's needs/wants/feelings but her own.
At least she matured some toward the end, but only after she stopped running into attractive men and Mickey dumped her for his gran. She had to get stuck in a parallel universe to straighten up and act like an adult, and it wasn't until then that I could even stand her. So while I don't -hate- her anymore, I still cant help but think of her as an immature child that doesn't deserve the Doctor. Even a half-human Doctor. Especially since she got him killed by just STANDING THERE like a gob while a Dalek came up and shot him (SHE WAS HOLDING A GUN that's effective against Daleks- why didn't she shoot it?) Thank gods he found and kept that hand!! The universe and humanity would have been over and it would have been Rose's fault- again. =T
You're right, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I'm, curious, HOW is she the best? Imho, she is the worst. Martha always ran her mouth too much, and abandoned him because she couldn't get over her crush, but was still mostly useful and Donna a bit ditzy, but was amazing in almost every other way. Rose is.. Everything I said above. How could she possibly be the best?
