Just Listen...

Shikamaru + Gaara from Naruto.
I'm very pleased with this little painting.

This is for my lovely Gabriel for his new Fanfiction "Intensify" on Y!Galley (Gah! don't get me started! >o<; ) in which Shikamaru is (temporarily?) Blind. Very well writen, with particular emphasis on the senses other than sight. it's delicious. i want more!!!!

drawn lastnight at like 12am, so naturally it has some anatomy + proportional problems, due to...falling asleep + drooling on the paper. jk ehe. Plus cos it's a gift, Critiques discouraged.

i never really liked putting either Shikamaru or Gaara in a pairing, whether Het or Yaoi, probably cos i love both of them too much to see them together with anyone, man or woman. (i think that's how my first pairing Rem/Siri obsession started off) Fuk i'm such a fangirl. *sigh* anyway. but somehow Gabe just made these two work. such an unusual pairing.

i can't believe i havn't drawn either of these two lovelies before now. i'm really happy with how Gaara came out.
they still look too young though i think, for the story. even though it was never specified how old they are. Infact there hasn't been any description of Gaara so far to work with either, because it's all from shikamaru's point of view...who is currently blind. (but we Know it's Gaara. hehehehe...) plus their naked...or topless cos, i have no idea what they should wear. it was rather hard to draw with so little visuals in the story so far O~o; but still fun.
it's meant to reflect more the feeling of the story, than actual reality of it. ehe.
